Unofficial Aurora, South Dakota Fishing Report from Lake Sinai

Well, Wednesday was another great day out on one of our favorite multi-species lakes. We caught bluegills, crappies, perch, smallmouth bass, and walleyes. For pass three weeks, we have been going out one day a week to this lake and just having a good old time. Nothing really big, but all good eating size. Walleyes that we have been keeping are running 15 to 19 inches, perch are running 9 to 11 inches, crappies are around 10 to 12 inches. Three weeks ago we caught a pike that went 28+ inches and now is pickled fish in my refrigerator. I want to mention that we are catching many 12 to 13 inch walleyes, so in a few years this lake should be producing many 15 to 17 inches. Also, the biggest smallmouth we caught this year was 18+ inches.
Next week, we are planning to head to a different lake within a hours drive of new home, such as Thompson, Poinsett, Oakwood, Henry, Dry or Kampeska. If we do, I will give an updated fishing report.

Good Luck Fishing,

Ralph K.
