Thirteen-year-old Dalton Scharper caught a nice stringer of 12 crappies from the pond behind their home south of Cedar Rapids, IA, on Saturday, June 5th. He and a friend were fishing from the back of their row boat which had the bow into the shoreline while the boys were jigging with crappie jigs/plastics. “We really didn’t know what kind of fish the pond had in it,” Dalton said. Dalton, his sister, and parents, Lorie and Oran Teut, moved to their new place late last summer. Dalton refurbished an old row boat Oran and he found for a $100 so he has his boat in the water to cruise the “Teut Pond” at his leisure. Thanks for the pic, Dalton, and keep up the good fishing!”
