Turkey in Iowa

I want to thank my best friend Carl and his family for taking care of me during our 2nd season Iowa turkey hunt.  This picture is of myself and Carl’s youngest son Casey.  This decoy would have worked any other time but not this morning.  We sat in the blind till sun up, waiting for the roosting gobbler to come down.  Unfortunately the deer between us busted us.  The time in western Iowa was great and so was the company.  The weather treated us well.  We worked hard, saw many birds, but they were all henned up.  I want to thank the Seidler’s for allowing me to stay at their beautiful home and showing me a great time.  The weekend was not a total bust as we caught many large mouth bass at a local neighbor’s pond.  Many thanks for the lasting friendship and time in the field or on the water.  Chris
