Lake MacBride report: Chris Speicher came home from Chicago to help Sue celebrate Mother’s Day. I’m grateful she let us fish a few hours together out of the Lund Explorer! Before Chris arrived about 2pm, I had a couple hours to pull No. 5 Shad Raps across the north arm of Lake MacBride catching small Stripers, crappie, and even a bonus catfish! After Chris arrived, we followed my trails on the Lowrance HDS8 and had a solid bite as we made a slow turn from east to west–game on!! Chris expertly worked the rod and brought to the net the largest fish we’ve ever caught at the lake–a monster catfish!! We got a few pics but no measurements for the record book.
