The excitement of competitive walleye tournament fishing was captured by a great FLW Outdoors photographer last year while Tommy Skarlis from Dorchester, Iowa and I were teamed up for the first day of the FLW event at Red Wing, Minnesota.  Our last fish was the biggest caught up on a small wing dam below the big dam.  After the weigh-in, the photographer told us to grab the big walleye out of the release boat and upriver we went.  He rolled up his pant legs and jumped into the Mississippi and took a series of photos with Tommy and I.  This is my favorite!  Look closely and you’ll see the big walleye swimming with a jig in her mouth waiting for me to net her–after a series of photos, we let her go to be caught by some lucky angler again.  Thanks, Tommy, for a great day on the water!  And, good luck to all the professional and co-angler partners as we head to the second FLW Walleye Tour event at Spring Valley, IL, on the Illinois River April 29-May1st!   Spike
