Last fall, Larry Witzel, from Cedar Rapids, IA asked Gary about a good place to go in Canada to fish. Gary referred him to Golden Eagle and Larry made reservations for the same week the Walleye Wisdom team would be there. Larry had planned the trip as a high school graduation gift for his son, Nate, and a gift to his father-in-law, Larry. They had the cabin right next to the WW boys so shared some fish, some ribs, and some fishing spots together when Scott took them on a guide trip early in the week. Gary also took Larry and Nate to a few spots on Wednesday when they caught some really nice Northerns on the chartreuse/white No. 7 Rapala Shad Raps plus the No. 7 Berkley Flicker Shads in the rainbow spectrum color.
