Sadly, the Canadians, Jim and Doug left for home Friday morning early. Chris and I put in at the Mazurik boat ramp and fished the southeast corner if Kelly’s Island. Lots of charter boats running big planer boards ruled the water until a storm came early afternoon. Chris and I had two on right away, lost one and boated a 29 incher! We pulled our spinners at different depths and pulled another 29 off a three ounce inline weight thirty feet behind the board. The high fish hit on bright chartreuse blades while the bigger fish liked the purple blades with chartreuse back. We ended up catching a total of 14–we put the two 29’s back along with a 14 incher! The rest Chris cleaned to take home. Our bite died about three after the storm and rain so we went in. We had planned to fish Saturday but the weather report was calling for wind and rain so we opted to drive home. Lake Erie holds big, big walleye and we were fortunate to catch some! Thank you for watching our reports and looking at the pics!
