What an exciting finish to the FLW Walleye Tour event on Pool 3! It was just a year ago I had the good fortune to win the top co-angler title fishing with pro Ted Takasaki on Pool 4 out of Red Wing. Watching yesterday’s events from the crowd was a real high for this WW reporter! Unemployed Bill Shimota from Lonsdale, MN and his co-angler partner, Cal Van Cleve from Wilmot, SD weighed five fish for over 35 pounds to win with a three day total weight of 90 pounds 4 ounces!! Bill won $36,001 in total payouts. “This money will really help me. I was layed off the first of the year from electrician duties,” Bill shared with me before we shot our video interview.
