Chicago Woman Survives Downpour to Fish Lake Pepin!

Sue and Gary Speicher entertained their good friend, Terry Hannon, from Wheaton, IL, on Saturday and Sunday, August 7th and 8th at their travel trailer parked at the Island Campground and Marina at Red Wing, MN. About 2am Sunday morning, a heavy downpour at the campground was too much for Gary’s Hornet–the tipout in the front of the trailer leaked right over the fold out bed Terry was sleeping on! What a way to welcome a guest for their first visit to the Hornet-Terry found a towel and dried out her bed! Sunday dawned Sunny and warm. Gary took the girls out for a boat ride in the Lund Explorer. They went up the river to the Lock and Dam then headed south to explore all of Lake Pepin down to Wabasha. Gary had the lines in the water at the head of the lake pulling crankbaits on the way back to the trailer. Check out Terry and Sue’s comments on their day on the water with Gary! Thanks to Terry for joining the Walleye Wisdom team at the Hornet for the weekend!!
