Birch Lake fishing report.

Birch Lake northern pike

Gary’s friend and client, Tracy Hayward, submitted photos from their July 9th trip to Birch Lake in Northwest Ontario. Tracy was joined by his friends Mike and Dick Woods. Dick caught a nice Northern while Tracy caught a 15+ lbs fish. “We caught lots of keeper walleye,” Tracy reported. They were using a bottom bouncer with a single hook snell tipped with a split-tail plastic and a piece of nightcrawler. “The split-tail plastic out fished all other presentations,” Tracy said. They flew out of Earl Falls, Ontario from the Kay Air Service operated by Karen and Peter Kay. You can check out all the outpost cabins Peter flies to at KayAir.com.
