Walleye Angler Catches $100 Bill!

Friday 9/28 was a lucky day for Randy O’Tool of Mason City.
Randy caught this 20″ tagged walleye while trolling on Clear Lake. This is the 11th $100 dollar tagged walleye to be caught of the 25 released last April. The fish are sponsored by local merchants, tagged by our DNR, released by the Clear Lake Fishing Club and recorded at the Crazy Minnow Co. bait and tackle store. Randy’s walleye was sponsored by the Clear Lake Mirror Reporter. The $1000 walleye for this year is still out there waiting to be caught. That fish is named Harley after the sponsor Harley Davidson of Mason City. His tag will be good until he is caught or replaced in May of next year following the CLFC Walleye Classic tournament.
