Chris Burns is a pro walleye fisherman who lives in Davenport, Iowa with his son, Nick. Chris owns a successful dental lab cranking out new teeth for his dentist clients throughout Eastern Iowa. We fished as a pro/co team during the 2007 and 2008 FLW Walleye Tour events out of a 2007 Ranger 620 we bought together. We sold the Ranger at the end of the 2008 season to our Wisconsin friend, Mark Bray. Chris became a Ranger pro in 2009 and fished all the FLW East tournaments out of a new Evinrude powered Ranger 620 he put on the water before the Red Wing event last April. His co-angler partner for 2009 was Marti Barski from Chicago. Because of our business move in January and affiliation with Premier Investments of Iowa in February, I only fished the Red Wing and Lake Winnebago events last year. Marti and I did some pre-fishing at Red Wing to help Chris and I was fortunate to win the event as the first place co-angler, fishing the last day with Ted Takasaki! I’m very proud of Chris’s FLW success and encourage you to pick up a March issue of the FLW Outdoors Walleye magazine at Gander Mountain or your local book store to read the feature article Chris has about catching walleyes on the River–he has some neat tips and tricks you’ll want to take notes on and use on your River trips this season. Good luck, Chris, in your 2010 tournament events! Your pal, Gary Speicher, NPAA #128
