Pasha Lake Fishing Report – Canada 2015

One of life’s greatest blessings is spending time with family and friends. Last week in Ontario was one of this year’s fishing highlights for me because I spent it with my two sons, Chris and Matt, and new son-in-law, Jessie! Michele and Chad from Pasha Lake Cabins donated a week at their resort to the highest bidder from NPAA members with the funds going to support youth fishing clinics throughout the tournament season. I won the bid! We arrived mid day last Saturday after a night’s stay in Thunder Bay. Their cabins are near the town of Jellicoe in the “West Greenstone” area. We had a daily commute to three different lakes where they keep lodge boats then finished the fishing time with a guide trip with Gus to the far northwest corner of Lake Nipigon. We fished Atigogama Lake, Wilkinson Lake, and Onaman Lake. We carried motors to lodge boats on the first two lakes while enduring an over one mile hike to boats with motors on Onaman. My suggestion: travel light! Our biggest walleyes and pike came on Onaman before the wind came up and it was time to get off the water. Our guide trip with Gus on Lake Nipigon ended with us catching 135 walleyes! Chris had damage to one of his Tahoe tires Wednesday night from the rough logging roads and the tire went flat just after we got back to the cabin! Chad referred us to a repair shop in Geraldton but the tire was shot and I was thankful they had a used one. While I was gone, the boys packed us up and we left in heavy rain which came and went all the way home. Chris, Matt, and Jesse were great help with the boats and cabin chores while I began recovery from an accident damaging my little finger the previous week. Be sure to Google Pasha Lake Cabins for their website information and reach out to me if you’d like some insight on how and where we caught them! Spike
